Animals

Here’s a selection of paintings and sketches of animals that have been part of my life. Animals are important to me – I love their humor, their quirks, and the wisdom they carry. It’s always a pleasure to draw and paint them.

Landscapes

Painting outside is always a joy and always a challenge. The light shifts, the scene moves, and no place ever looks the same twice. I’m still figuring it out, but that’s part of what keeps me coming back.

Figures

Painting didn’t really click for me until after college, when I started painting with colleagues weekly and thinking about it constantly. These figures blend bits of caricature, realism, and personal exploration.

still lifes

These started with a group of colleagues painting on Friday mornings before work. I love still lifes because you get to shape the setup, choose the challenge, and return to it as many times as you like. There’s nothing rushing you.
